Falco Café

There's this itch that won't go away to remove Sig's fairing. I don't so much like the streetfighter look and wondered what a Falco Cafe Racer would look like. I'm not sure having seen these....
This silver one is done very well - like the speedo...

But I like the big single headlamp thing... but this just doesn't look right... it's too low. Maybe twin big headlamps??

I'll probably do nothing... but I've just joined Nottingham hackspace and have a whole workshop as my playground and nothing to do.

Hmmm ..... ample evidence there that not all changes are for the better

The silver one looks the best. The 'big round headlight' doesn't suit the Falco, to my eyes.

Not for me either, I love 'em just the way they are.

Here's another one for you, still not sure about them, but at least they have a café racer seat on this one.

We've discussed that one on here before (I think more than once).
...... It was far from popular .....

Yeah... the twin headlamp version is the best. They do look kind of 'heavy' though - the bulk of the tank makes them seem unbalanced without a fairing.
I think that's my itch scratched.
I thought no fairing might slow me down a bit as well. I'll just put a 1200 tooth rear sprocket on instead.

Oh I'm not condoning that sort of behaviour, just thought I'd add it as it had the best old school café racer tail, not saying that tail looks good on the Falco, just that as a tail on it's own it's the most 'café racer'.
I'm still struggling to bring myself to add high bars and spray the chopped fairing I bought because I like the look of the original so much.

That's a single can on that black one? Must sound demonically heavenly.

This is identical to my mates bike (different colours oz wheels), RSV with single very stubby end can. Sounds like a GP bike, it's disgustingly loud, so much so that I try not to meet him at my place anymore when we go out, and nobody likes to follow him.

Now that RSV does look proper kick ass, where as I thought the first silver falc looked ok but not finished, the black one looked like an accident afterthought, the one with the cafe seat hump looked like it had the wrong seat....
The falc and RSV are simply the wrong shape and geometry for a cafe racer, too much nose down, arse up, more street fighter IMO

I'd like to see one with the mike hail wood style seat similar to the last silver cafe racer seat but longer the twin headlights are streetfighter the single cafe racer but just looks like that old middleweight yam single to me (circa late 80"s early 90"s )

He bought it direct from jester evokit as a finished bike, and has had nothing but trouble with it since he bought it.
Everytime we go away somewhere it runs out of electric, he's had the wiring redone, which solved it for 6 months, then replaced the rectifier with a mosfet jobbie, this seems to have solved the problem, then on the way home from Le Mans his headlight stopped working (again for about the 5th time). Gez at evokit may know how to make a nice looking fairing panel and spray them really well, but his custom bike building skills are a bit questionable.
It's gotten so bad, that last time we were away I said if he brings this bike away again (he has a spare) and it breaks down then I'm now waiting around to fix it.
Looks good though, certainly turns a lot of heads.
