So I'm looking to put a set of rim tapes on my wheels, where else, but can anybody tell me what width tapes I need as I'm thinking 10mm may be too wide?

I had gold rim tape on my old Brembo rims and I think they looked better for it .... but that was a long time ago

Wish I could remember the size - it may well have been 10mm

Surely the width of tape is a personal preference thing? My previous Falco had red rim tape (with the graphite colour wheels and red paintwork), personally I think it looked good but a couple of my mates wouldn't let it go.

You did really ask for that didnt you

I had Red rim tape on my Ducati, came with it, looked ok on silver wheels - no way were they 10mm - 6 or 8 at most.

They were never fitted correctly with off-set ends so in a moment of annoyance one day, I ripped them all off.

See how 'bad' Ducati owners can be LOL.

Last time I was involved in rimming I think gaffer tape was used! TART!
