possibly its just strange that its happened twice and only on aprilia's , will have to take the hugger off and have a gander obviously the old tyre was fine but down to the wear markers .

Had that front and back on my Bridgestones, put it down to tyre construction. Not saying that's the case here

Is there any surface indentation ?
If so look for sticky outy bits on hugger fixing points. Tyre manufacturerors do incorporate different lines of coloured strands in the tyre carcass to signify all kinds of stuff, these are a few mm thick and may be wearing off ?

Yeah like you say thers always a couple of coloured lines in the tyre . Checked the hugger for anything unusual and no sign of anything so Going to put it down to the tyre itself which btw is a Bridgestone .

Mystery solved , the line is part of the construction of the tyre ( anti static strip ) which most manufacturers put in . I know this because I just spoke to Bridgestone so nowt to worry about .
