Where is the negative point from battery, I can't trace it. Done search and can't find either

Bike loss all power then after a time I had everything! Got bike recovered and it's all good. Got back end off and checked wires and cleaned connectors. Starter solenoid is all good.

Trying trace neg fm battery too clean up and check it but I lost after about 8 inches along cable from battery.

Do I need panels off??

Goes straight to the engine I think, it's only about 15 inches long in total.

Found it, above the slave cylinder.

All looks good and did voltage fm there and pos term while bike was running and over 14v looks clean and onto corroded though over time it's had plenty we'd sprayed unknowingly.

Cleaned as many connections as possible and checked wires. All seems good, still at loss as loss of everything.
