Injector Problem Maybe...

Hi all,

Re-augmented my cans again, mid-section back to normal and the TwoBrothers M2 Stubby Carbon Cans on the end! Had it re-dyno'd and there was a stutter around 1,000-1,500 revs. No amount of adjusting the map eradicated the problem :smt017

The guy (Simon) suggested maybe at low pressure, there could be a problem with my injectors. He has a sonic bath and injector checking contraption in his workshop. So, I was going to get a spare set of injectors and get him to clean and check there flow, spray, atomisation etc. Chuck them in and see if the stutter is eradicated :smt002

And then get the old one's also cleaned out and checked... For spares.

Anyone else had a stutter, apart from effects after 12 pints of scrumpy :smt003

Adjust the idle on the right side - iirc if set too low it does that

Run some redex or equivalent

Hi all,

The problem wasn't my injectors, but, my TBR Cans :smt020 Discussed with Pierre and decided to get a full length pair of TBR Carbon Cans. Found a pair on fleebay off a TL1000. Arrived today and quickly cleaned them (mint inside actually). Put them on, my stutter has disappeared and will go back to dyno-guy to lean off my map a smidgen :smt002

The "Negative Wave Deflection" theory was discussed at length over some drinks. They have gone from a mind-blowing growl, to a blowing growl now :smt003

Think I may even get a couple of more horses out of her, seeing as proper size cans on there now. Doing dyno on sat morning, gentlr ride to north yorkshire, hope sun is out...
