My falco has just turned 30k km and the SERVICE message has just displayed on the screen. I presume it's just a counter rather than depending on condition/how it's used etc......... so what is it that needs doing, y'reckon?
Running absolutely fine, but quite happy to follow a schedule!
Other than that, just the usual list of jobs to do - finally soften the handling now the yellow Ohlins spring is fitted - sort the erratic indicator operation (relay probably), few cosmetic items, work out how to operate the scottoiler......then just to enjoy the season!

Service schedules are listed in the User Manual and the Workshop Manual. The lists are not identical so it's best to look at both manuals and do the lot (at least, that's my approach).
Both manuals can be downloaded from Martin Poll's website:

...in addition to the above, the manual also tells you how to switch off the service warning.
Good old Italians.

.... and just as well too - it is a necessary step once you've carried out the service.

I reset my service indicator message after I had the bike serviced but today it re-appeared. It was only 1190 miles / 4 weeks ago. Surely can't need another one already. Is there something else that sets off the message??

The service indicator is programmed to appear at predetermined mileages, if you have the service indicator on and string out a service until it's nearly time for another one it'll reappear at that predetermined mileage.
If you've just serviced the bike switch the message off again and wait for it to come on again when the next service is due.
The manual has the service intervals in it every 7500km IIRC
