First proper blast after buying...
So after getting the Falco last November, its been sat in the shed pretty much since due to house move and new job and life generally. Its been started up every two weeks and on a trickle charger though.
MOT was Wednesday, so off we went and it passed. Then took the long way home via 20 miles of twisty B roads and I am impressed with it muchly. Yeah it needs a new shock bit the engines a beauty.
Two things I need to sort out now, and need you help with:
1) I need a double bubble. Anyone got one they want to sell.
2) I need longer stem mirrors. Have seen them on bikes but cant find them for sale anywhere...?
Apart from that, I forsee a long spring/summer of Falcoesque fun ahead...
Dave.

These are one of the varieties of mirrors fitted to the RS125.Obiwan Kenobi wrote: 2) I need longer stem mirrors. Have seen them on bikes but cant find them for sale anywhere...?
Part numbers are in our technical section so can be bought from Aprilia dealers. Sometimes you can find them cheaper on ebay.

BTW I'm not suggesting Fatboy's comments are wrong - I haven't seen the one he's got

Ta for the info.
Dreamscreens on ebay advertise double bubbles for £75 or "make an offer".
Anyone had any experience of them at all? Look like they have been around for a while...
So its the RS125/250/mille mirrors I need?
These are on ebay too at a decent price, but without backing plates i.e. just stalks with a mirror on one end and a threaded bar sticking out the other. Presume these are ok, as I can use my existing backing plates?
Cheers,
dave.

As it happens the long stalk mirrors fit better with the original plates, can't remember why but I know it worked for me, less interferance I think with the original footplates

Im glad you lot are pleased with your screens, Im tyring to make any potential buyer of my screen aware of the fact that Im surprised at how thin and feeble it seems, therefore avoid the dissapointment I felt when I opened the boxD-Rider wrote:.... did the rest of us say that our skidmarx ones are fine?fatboy wrote: PS, did I say I think its well below par ?
