Does this look right to you?

The pictures below show the coil that's mounted inside the frame, not too far from the front head/valve train. Instead of the bracket being flat(ish) and gently following the contour of the frame, the bracket on the blue Falco is bent quite noticeably inwards, by about 40-50 mm. I can see no reason why it should be like that, other than someone previously needed to get at the (rusty) nut at the back of the bracket and decided to bend it forward.

Are they all like that, sir? Or has mine been bodged? The view from above on the RH side of the bike...

Cheers, matey - I suspected as much. This bike bears evidence of having a comparatively long period of life with a caring owner and a (thankfully) much shorter period of time with fuckwit(s) for owner(s).

It will be returned to standard. Now where's my lump hammer?

The offending aluminium bracket has now been 'persuaded' to straighten up and fly right...

And the HT lead breathes a massive sigh of relief, knowing its insulation is now safe from abrasion, it now will not have to share its voltage with its bracket, frame and rider !

Maybe you bent it while you were standing on the left side of the bike?
