Front brake is not normally a problem

You did use new washers didn't you?

In the Aprilia tech section is a sticky called bleeding our hydraulics....

Hmmmm

Sounds like an air leak somewhere.... Little nip tight?

Try cable tying the brake on overnight....

I now cheat and use a vacuum bleeder - well worth 20 quid imho

Don't forget the nipple on the master cylinder

This.

Infact, it's by far the easiest way to bleed up the front brakes When i replaced my fluid a couple of weeks back i used the master cylinder bleed nipple to do 90% of the work.

+2. Air bubbles rise. It makes obvious sense to bleed them out at the highest point, rather than try to force them down a tube to the lowest point in the system...

The bleed nipples on the brake calipers are only for bleeding the air trapped an the calipers. For everything else, use the master cylinder nipple.

Need to make sure that the tubes all run upwards. I have had a bit of an airlock in the tube between reservoir and mastercylinder - fixed by squeezing the reservoir hose.

Probably my radial mastercylinder setup is more prone to this but it's always a possibility.
