I know the question of 'which sidestand should I replace the rubbish standard one with' is a favourite on this forum, but I think I now have the definitive answer for anyone who wants a fuss-free swap.
The answer is - Honda Fireblade 2005/2006 stand. Honda Part number is 50530MEL000, and it's available in the US for the princely sum of $42 - about £26 at current exchange rates.
The only thing you need to do to make it fit is to drill out the hole in the stand for the Aprilia stand switch by about 0.5mm. I used a 4.2mm drill, as that's what I had handy, but a 4mm drill would probably do the job.
Apart from that it just bolts straight on.
