Sargent Seat

I am thinking about getting a Sargent seat for the bike, I find the present seat hard and uncomfortable after a while.
I think Alad has one but I would like anyone who has one to comment.
Are they worth the £219 that cost at this point, are they comfortable or are they just a better looking seat than the present one.

I know some on here have had their seats made more comfy by having them reupholstered. I think at least one outfit was UK based and not too silly a price.
It might have been Old Git or Furygan Man or someone.
Greg had his done but I think that went to Canada or somewhere.
Have a search on here for the various options.

Aladinsane has one fitted. I have ridden his bike and the seat is very forgiving and comfortable.
If you are having the bike for a long time then yes I would say go for it.
The best thing about these seats is that if you do sell the falco the seat will always be able to be sold on.
I will pm you with something I found in the for sale adds which is a lot cheaper though.

I got your message and replied, this will be the last bike I ever own so I may as well get it as good as I can for myself.

Cheers Mart .... actually it looks as though BOTH Old Git and Furygan Man had theirs done by the same outfit.
Seems that the price was about £50 back in 2010. Quality looks great.

TBH I could do with contacting them myself - my seat is still comfortable but is now getting a bit worn out. I'll have to look out for a spare to use while I send mine away.

I can certainly vouch for Sargent seats but mine is pretty different on my Duke:
Took MONTHS to break in or maybe that long for me to adapt to it but it got me to Italy and back again but it makes the seat height a little too which wont be an issue on the Falco of course...
DONT get one from the USA - I could of got one for EXACTLY the same price in the UK!
I have just bought an Air Hawk pad to try when I get sorted - looks to be an ideal size for the Falco:

Sorry - I got the last Medium sized one.

I also found the original a tad on the hard side, I bought a second hand one to modify as I didn't want to ruin the original. I see there are a few on evil bay and custom covers too so all in you could probably get a cool looking modified one for under a £100 I even wondered about using that clinical gel to sculpt the shape. I ended up using the foam out of an old rover car seat I had, now it's very comfy.
Ah just noticed the bootleg ones are recovered for around £50 in 2010
Good value there.

Another excellent seat-recoverer chappie is Tony Archer in Huddersfield. Top bloke, excellent workmanship and reasonably priced. I had my VFR dual seat recovered there, and he did an excellent job.
Here are some pics of his workmanship:
And the neighbour's garden wall, it has to be said...
A top job - cost £80 including return carriage.
He can add foam, remove foam, use denser or softer foam and add gel inserts if you so desire. And he's an excellent bloke.
