underseat exhaust ...help needed !!!

#1 Post by cornish mafia » Thu Dec 19, 2013 5:12 pm

Hello people long time no text .....life keeping me busy and well beyond my comfort zone , almost breaking into a sweat at times !!

I'm still tweaking away on the Cornish bird and she's looking good but once more I'm stuck and need a quick answer .....I'm trying to fit a twin underseat ( on the side ) exhaust and as I have the one side RSVR exhaust mode fitted the pipe has to run under the seat.....my problem is it's being stopped by the under tray with the battery case holder ..SO ...my question is will an RSV / RSVR mille under tray fit and thus giving me the room I need to fit these pipes ..OR.. Any other ideas ...

Hope all are keeping well and Merry Xmas to you all ....

simple answer is no

but could be fettled .....

my high mounts run under and along side the rear cowl - that is the renegade mille system

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Cheers Aladin I knew you wouldn't let me down .....I got myself an ART full system and have to say was excited when it turned up although I sort of knew in the back of my very small brain that this was never going to be a fit and play Mod .....are any of them ?

When you say Fettling do you mean bending exhaust pipe to fit or moding the under tray .....the second being my fav idea at the moment !!

What bike was the art system made for?

Oh that's a piece of piss then

Remove the rear cowl and u will see that there are two threaded mount points on the rear sub frame

Metal strut down - I made mine - and then you have a mounting point for the can holders

You may want to put a slight kink in the down bars - then the rear cowl fits with no dremel action

Oh be aware that the cross over pipe is very close to the hugger on a Mille swing arm.... They can melt a tad!

(I have always wanted a metal hugger!)
