Hi all, can anybody please recommend a good front paddock stand for the Falco? I've done a ebay search for falco front paddock stand which throws up a few but I don't honestly know if they are any good! Any help muchly appreciated.

Hi mate - I use one like this. Takes a little care the first couple of times you use it before having confidence. It's not the most secure but it does the job for routine wheel and brake maintenance.

i use one that fits into the under part of the headstock
its a faff to under the three bolts holding the cover on, but it is secure enough to do major work

I really do not trust front stands that lift on the fork bottoms.
Go for a headstock lifting stand, few more bucks but far more stable and you can work on the forks if needed, which you cant with a cheepie job

It's the headstock lifting ones I've been looking at, so any make of this style stand will fit? Any recommendations?

Get an abba stand and the new front wheel lifter kit. You wont be disappointed.
Look on their website at the videos.

Nooj was selling clones of the abba stand - don't know if he still is or whether his ones work with the front lifting kit

Get one of the old NWS stands, they come up on ebay from time to time for about £50, same as the abba stand but universal and you don't need to pay for extra pins. Solid as a rock, you can then strap down the front or rear depending on which way you're working
Here's a pic of one

I've got one of them - certainly more robust than the abba but doesn't have some of the useful abba accessories - though I'd not swap it for an abba

Tapered pins......Good idea...I am going to get the 695 pins machined down as they are long and will do the job nicely
