EFI

#1 Post by GregD-UK » Thu Dec 05, 2013 5:38 pm

Hi all,

Well, twas my birffday yesterday! So, I decided to spend the day putting my Cat C back together somewhat. Fitted new radiator (Delkevic) OK, not quite same as OEM, but will do. Until I went to fit the rad covers :smt013 Fan mounting fixing points 5mm lower....

Anywho, fitted new stuff except plastics and main light. Soon as I put clocks back on, made a funny noise. Went to start it, no fuel as expected, so did the dreaded full throttle trick. Soon as fired went onto fast idle.... Champion me thought.

Till I looked at dash. EFI flashing continuously, no sign of temp on right hand screen. Turned her off and then back on and fired ok. Battery 14.2V :smt002 Anyone got any idea's on why my EFI is flashing continuously, even though she fired and was idling OK?

Cheers in advance, put my Aprilia SL Carbon Cans back on as well.
My warranty is the clear/smoked tail lights around the corner!!

Air sensor, right hand inlet

Either disconnected or damp

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Hi all,

Fitted inner snorkel and connected said Air Sensor. EFI disappeared after two flashes and now temp has returned :smt002

Cheers Alad :smt003 Just need to fit rest of plastics, acquire push-rod for my rear brembo. Then bike back to it's former glory :smt004 Have decided to leave the SL Carbon Cans on for now, the TwoBrothers are fab and loud, might get some link pipes made and sight them in same place as carbons for the original "Twin" look :smt007
