Andy I stand corrected and am reminded of GCSE Physics practicals. I suppose the question was posed that way deliberately to exclude the obvious choice on a technicality... That's so not fair.
And I think Dave, things would be closer than you are making out. A little cosmetic rust or mold for that matter, won't make too much difference.
