Go to wicks or B@Q. Cut your own mesh and cut. Go to a scrap yard and ask for a door seal. They should give you it for nothing.

Tolerance will be our undoing.

What Zoid said - looks very smart!
Shouldn't be too hard to do, either. Just have to find the mesh.
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Tip.
make sure that the mesh stands 'off' a little from the rad and oil cooler, if it is flush fitting then debris can pas through the mesh and into the fins of said cooling component ( been there )
The smaller the mesh size the better protection, a 5mm gap between rad and mesh will be good.
Falc oil coolers are bloody expensive and there is no universal type replacement

I think the first one looks better myself, but it's not the right grade. The other issue they are both woven meshes which means they will be hard to bend without the mesh distorting. I have tried before on another project.

You would need a folding machine or press to shape both of those, no chance of doing it by hand.
have a look for perforated stainless sheet, which you can bend with a vice and straight edges,

Got a sheet of gold mesh via Ebay a few years back.
Did the same way as iconic944ss pic shows. Dead easy job once the plastics are off.
I recall it was a universal car front grille (cut/bend/glue to fit) I got for about £20.
Dont Halfords still do sheets of the stuff?

Two is the magic number... ;)
