Hi all,
Riding home on sunday and came to a main fly-over, using lane two around and a peugeot driver in lane three decided to come into my lane whilst he was parallel with me. He cam across and batted me! I fell between my bike and his peugeot. still holding onto my bike as I didn't want to go under his car. He stopped about ten metres past, An off-duty copper pinned me to the deck as I wanted to get up and rip the guy's head off for not looking and paying attention. I was fuming. the copper actually took my bike off me as I was on the deck and still managed to keep the bike up. I must be stronger than I thought. Traffic arrived with ambulance and according to the medic; "I was over-long for the board!" Got me into ambulance and have abrasions on my right leg, My full dainese gear served me well, even though it was a hot day I had all my kit on. The driver spoke english to a by-stander, but, soon as traffic arrived he couldn't speak english
Damage to bike is scratched nose fairing and screwed mirror, gilles brake armature snapped and coolant leak from somewhere! Pain has kicked in now and mu insurance is going for a "No fault claim" based on the evidence I gave. Doesn't TC do this sort of work? Anyway, my insurance has passed details onto two bike legal company's....
My bike was mint for the meet this w/end

Shall see what unfolds, never claimed on insurance before

Oh no!
We wondered where you had got to while we were in Norfolk - you should have come down and avoided all this!
After all that work on your bike, you must be gutted. Hope the physical pain passes quickly and you heal up well.
You are right, TCs lot do this stuff - they sorted my stuff out when I was knocked off. It took ages but my insurers were just going to roll over on it - and I wasn't having that as it wasn't my fault.
I think TC is on hols but will probably be back soon. Contact him and I'm sure he will help. If you need to contact them sooner, I can pass on their details to you - but if you can wait, talk to TC first.
At least you seem to have have an off-duty cop as a witness.
I would advise you to write down as detailed account as possible of what happened - the time leading up to it, the incident itself and the immediate time afterwards. If you have pictures, great. Take some of your damaged bike and kit ASAP. Diagrams of vehicle positioning before, during and after are all good too. Screen grabs of Google maps satellite view and street view also help to show the situation and road layout.
Do it all now before you forget it - and date the document.
Anyway, certainly feel for you - hope you recover well.

GlAd you are ok
Don't forget to insist the police press charges within 28 days
Surely not speaking English is not a defence??

Sorry to here about the accident Greg, but glad you are reasonably OK and the bike doesn't look too bad.
Have a chat to TC and see what they can do.
Not as satisfying as stoving the idiot's face in, but much safer, and could prove quite satisfying.
On a different note, do you know if he was insured and have you got the details, many of the people who "do not speak English" often cannot phone Direct Line or Compare the Meerkat, so never manage to get the insurance.
Sadly nobody seems able to spot this, until after any accident, so we just end up paying higher premiums to cover it.
P.S. The pain does kick in later and gets worse, so keep taking the pills or PM "Nursey", who will give very good advice.
Good news is that in a few days, when the bruises look at their worst and are really black, the pain is getting better.
Hope you are all sorted very soon!

Just as well the PC was there to help you and save the twat from a beating he surely deserved.
Hope it all gets sorted and if the driver isn't insured sue the bastard for all he's worth and press charges. must be a driving without due care or dangerous driving possibility.
Get well soon

As others have said...
write down as much as you can before you forget.
If for any reason you are not happy with what the insurance company's legal team have to say do not go along with it and speak to TC or his company, He/they are really on it with shit like this.
Glad it was not worse, hope you mend soon and get a result

in my extensive experience I wouldn't bother with the appointed ones they change staff all the time and do not have to use qualified solicitors or paralegals for a lot of stuff we've got a tame wolf why not use him and to be fair to TC its not like he touts for the work

Sorry to hear that Greg.
By the sounds of it you were lucky not to go under the car. That would not have ended well.
As others have said, TC is away on holiday, he posted on the 19th saying he was counting down 24 hours and going away for 12 nights, so he should be back around the start of september.
Oh and get well soon.
Dale
Thanks...

Hi all,
Thanks for the kind words of support, much appreciated. On the legal front, I shall hold out till TC returns (DR can you send me his details please). As for the git that hit me, the traffic cop who documented the accident, has been very hard to track down
Ran his station a few times, still no reply. Want to know if he had details of the witness and more importantly, whether this guy has been charged with driving without due care! Can I just press charges against him at any police station?
Am laid-up in bed, as walking is difficult....
Haven't even looked at bike yet, might have a look w/end, tbh I am gutted and sick of everything at the mo. No bike, no work, no interest...
Anywho, hope all was fun at the "Meet" any pictures yet :)
