54mm throttle bodies

I'm going to be fitting 54mm throttle bodies on Sunday, prior to it's PC3 and dyno work next week. Is there anything I need to watch out for in terms of parts I might need/break in the process of swapping things over?
Thanks

These can be a bugger to set up - all depends on how well they have been modified.
The critical things are whether the bypass ports have been converted properly and the fit of the butterflies (uniformness of the 54mm bore and precision of the butterflies)
Having been unable to achieve a tick over of less than 2500rpm, mine are out at the moment with the hope that I can get some more precise butterflies made up.

Lets hope mine are ok then.
No doubt I'll get a phone call from the dyno if things aren't running right.

Well they're on and the bike runs
Idle is at about 1700 at the moment so we'll see how that goes once it's properly set up

I would advise you don't ride the bike until its set up. The mixture will be weak and you could do long term damage.

Definitely not riding it. Just gave it a quick start to see if it was ok.
Will be loaded in the van first thing and carted to the dyno for PC3 install and set up.

Use the idle adjustment to the right of the tank..

Yes that's about what I got with mine until I got the fuelling sorted with a Gabro chip .... then the tickover went up to 2500.
TBH it wasn't too difficult to ride like that but the TBs came off as it was far from ideal.

Forza was on Griffs face book page a couple of weeks ago
He commented on a new chip that he had designed for a falco with all the engine trimmings
Renegade air box, and Renegade mid section etc.
I think the price was £45 delivered.
I will be putting the above mentioned mods on the new project bike and will be fitting one of these chips......
Watch this space.

My Gabro chip is matched to my bike setup and has 2 maps - one for 51mm TBs and one for 54mm TBs (but he'll do what you want)
More expensive - but then it is a Gabro

I emailed ed (forza) tonight to see if I would need to change the eprom I had off him before but the ignition map is the same across all mods so just the fuelling to sort with the pc3.
Pete, everything was backed off so the idle sister would have made no difference, was just making sure it would start. I'll let the dyno guys set it all up.

I got my 54s off paddy who had exactly the same symptoms ....
For a very cheap price
He was well pissed when I told him how I adjusted it...
It may just be coincidence but

I don't have any more adjustment (well not anywhere near enough) on any of the things you can adjust. Obviously I'd not have removed them to see what else could be done if there were anything else left to do.
