Hi, Would like to move my bars over the top yoke to improve comfort, is there a how to on the site someone could direct me to, had a good look around but no joy as yet.
Noticed there is also a small bolt from underneath the clip on to the yoke, does this become an issue when fitting over the yoke?
Also finally got the correct linkages for my yellow spring sachs shock, I hope.
Anyway going to fit asap and see how it goes, is there a how to on the site?, read through the manual so not unduly worried about the job, but more info always helpful.
Finally do people have a preference in the make of double bubble screens in terms of quality and fit ?. Can hardly wait to get bike sorted out.

The lock bolt you refer to is not really necessary - I over engineered it and drilled tapped through and used a longer bolt

The only thing I had to do to make it all work was remove the short metal bar that holds the brake reservoir - mount to straight to the mount to ensure it does not foul the fairing

You may need to rotate the right switch gear to reduce chance of turning engine off on full lock!

Re fitting the rear shock - easiest if you use an abba stand or similar and remove the rear wheel. Also grease check all the bearings as you do it

I like my skidmarx DB but others did not like the fit

I also have a Skidmarx screen and it is fine.
Mine is about 9 years old.
Otherwise as Pete says for bars and shock.

Hi thanks for the advice, think I will change the rear shock first and get a feel for it, then do the bars over the top yoke and see how it goes.
Must get a double bubble screen on order. Looking forward to some sunny days on the road, remember those.

I think my forks needed pushing up a little to get the fork top flush with the upper part of the clip-on.

This is with my Puig screen which I didnt like as much as my Pyramid screen either!

Does this set up reduce the handling too much, and also how far are the forks pulled through for this to be possible?

Makes the steering a tad quicker - but not much

Four rings will be enough to put the bars on - 3 rings showing is considered average btw

Front end is a tad lighter - it was overkill but I used it as an excuse to fit a steering damper

Main result is that it is more comfortable for those of us with backs that are dodgy ;)

Thanks. Im doing fork seals soon so will pull the forks up through to 4 rings then see how it feels. At the moment my bike feels like it understeers a lot/sits on its rear so I dont have much confidence on turn in.

Will see how the comfort goes and see about moving the bars at the same time.

What rear shock do you have, and once you have done the seals get everything set up for you

Shock is a WP unit. Unsure what exactly. It looks like its on original linkages so I assume it was designed for the Falco.

wp 4400 iirc was the unit that fits straight into the falco

(I had one... now on hanna's bike)

if that is the unit, there is an awful lot of things to set up on that - and a good read of the owners hand book is to be recommended.....
