fast idle speed

Started falco yesterday, started no problem only thing once put choke off idle speed was still 2000 r pm adjusted idle screw as far back as I could but could get no lower. .. never happened before. ... any suggestions :smt017

Possibly sticking throttle plates, snap the throttle open and closed a couple of times. This could be related to loose screws on the plates so would be worth a look in there and tighten them up.

Also might need to lube the cables, and linkages for the throttle and fast idle.

See if anything is fouling the mechanism at the front of the throttle bodies.

Sorted. .. choke cable snagging under tank causing it to be held slightly open even when lever in fully closed position

(BTW it's a fast idle - not a choke all it does is crack the butterfly open a tad)
