Help, I've just unwrapped my bike (it lives outside ) to give it a post winter check up and horror of horrors my tank is covered in blisters.
can anyone recommend a good body shop in the West Midlands (preferably Worcestershire) that will do me a perfect respray?

I'm close to tears.

A few years ago, when considering repairing a crashed Futura, a friend recommended a place in Malvern. Unfortunately, I can't recall the name; sorry.

Could be cheaper to buy a second hand one and sell yours. Mine lives outside too, but not had that issue yet. Worked out what happened?

@Reggie Gasket......not had this problem with previous bikes (Hondas. Kwacker, Bmw, Yammy), it's only affected the tank and is just a nightmare....the bike was blemish free before this so I'm more than a little disappointed, not to mention pretty pi**ed off! I will ask the various specialists when I see them what they think may have been the cause so that I can avoid it in future!

No chance that something has been on the cover which has effected the paint? Or some pretty darn strong bird droppings?... Just guessing here seeing as it's an odd thing to happen.

Yep that's the place, had a bit of work done last summer, did a good job, was recommended to me by one of the spanners in the local Yamaha dealers, Skellerns.

They seriously ripped off a young lad I know a few years ago - effectively double-charged him for a service that should have been free.

A few years ago, took the first Fut there for a new rear tyre. Left it with them,while I went off for lunch. I asked them if they needed the keys, they said, no, they didn't. 20 minutes later, had a phone call from them :

"Do you have the 22 mm hex adapter to undo the wheel nut?"
"Yes, it's in the toolkit"
"Where's the toolkit?"
"Under the seat"
"How do you get the seat off?"
"With the keys you said you didn't need"

And they scratched the wheel quite noticeably.

Anyway, a few days later I wrote the bike off; I'd like to blame it on Skellerns but that would be stretching even my prejudice a bit too far.

I would be interested to hear the diagnosis of the blisters, my Falco paint has started to blister just below the headlight.
It has had some crash damage repaired in the past by a previous owner, my mate pointed it out,saying he could see where it had been re sprayed, long before the cold sores appeared ( in the re sprayed area )
