I have just got one of these and I have asked for the vacuum adapter from the company, I have read all of the guides (on here as well) and I am confident that if I take my time I should be fine.
One thing I can't pick up much on is the breather tube.
The feed tube and the vacuum tube are OK but do you use or leave the breather tube connected as well

what year is your falco?

some of us with early bikes have the mille system - as in look at the mille installation instructions - you cut into the tube and fit a T connector. For the falco, you need to get a part from scottoiler - it is free

Look at his emoticon Pete ... it's a blue one - it'll have the vacuum points on the TBs

and if it is a blue one then yes, it has the vacuum point on the TB - and iirc needs the correct connector from scottoiler - details are in the instructions from scottoiler.com

it's the breather pipe I was wondering about, I think it stays on and is routed as to allow the thing to work, all together three pipes, one in, one out and the breather.

Not really sure what you mean by the breather pipe

just keave it alone Tony - just connect the vacuum pipe - its that that drives the scottoiler

(I think the confusion may come from reading about people fitting a renegade style air kit and redirecting the breather to the front sprocket??)

I just tucked mine underneath the rear cowl. Not a good idea not to run the pipe as is gets awfully oily and messy without it

Cheers all I was looking for confirmation of what I thought was the set up and you have confirmed it for me, the company has been in touch and are sending me the vacuum part I need.

One thing more to ask, I took off the rear fairing\tail piece last night and it was a struggle to get it off, is there a method or do you have to prise it over the relays and rectifier housed underneath it.

D-Rider you are dead right I was sweating, first thought was how much and where can I get an new one from.

I didn't need an adaptor for my 02 Falco, though it is a proper black one

I used a bit of red silicone hose. There was an unused vac out from the throttle body. I just removed the plug, slipped the tube over, then shoved the black plastic elbow that came with the kit into that. You can just about see it.

I mounted the V-System whatsit on the left subframe, for easy adjustment on exactly how much air I am squirting onto the chain, and to see when I need to top it up with more air.

So basically the same as what (most of) the rest of us have done but with the addition of an intermediatery bit of red tube

I thought the early model TB's didn't have that vac tube?

Suppose it could have if it was put together late in the run.

I found it was possible to get the Scottoiler elbow to fit without any other tubing, a bit of heat helps to get it to fit the 1st time.

Pulling the tail section off in the cold is always a bit frightening, much easier in the summer when the plastic is a bit more pliable.

I've had to stop using my scottoiler recently as it seems to just piss all the oil out really quickly. I use a lube tube as a backup reservoir, which holds about another half litre of oil and the last lot went in a couple of months. Previously that ammount would have lasted well over a year.

Anyone had similar problems/cures?
