Good news indeed

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Now to put the cat amonst the pigeons, I had new Maxxis Tourers fitted in a car tyre place and they were NOT balanced at the time, TBH ,brand new tyres performed so well I forgot they were new and not balanced,on the airfield in lower triple figures not even a hint of vibration....
Must say until recently I thought new tyres should be treated with extreme caution... well tyre production seems to have moved forward

Congrats on getting it back on the road :smt002

The tyre fitter I always use tells everybody at least three times to go steady on the new tyres. He reckons they still get a few a year dumped outside. Usually bandits for some reason.

Glad you got it back on the road at last.
As for balancing, if they lined up the small yellow triangular (ish) shaped mark on the tyre wall with the tyre valve, when fitting (as they should have), you should need minimal balancing or none at all. The tyre should be pretty well balanced if fitted this way.
Bike tyre fitters know about this indicator and are pretty good at fitting correctly, but I have hardly ever seen a car tyre fitted with this lined up.
I suppose this is because car tyres are easier to fit weights on than getting this mark aligned with the valve ????
(Thumping on a clip-on weight with a hammer is more their style!).

I never trust new tyres and give them a rub down with Emery cloth or sandpaper, before fitting back to the bike, then they are much safer.

Had a new tyre fitted to the ford mundane

It had a flash for fitting by the valve

So, was fitted correctly

The hub cap cover was also marked with a flash so it could be fitted correctly.... Guess what - it was in the wrong place

Fix Often Repair Daily :)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Mmmm, is it unfair to expect tyre fitter to fit tyre correctly, torque all wheel nuts and fit wheel trim correctly ?
Probably

Thanks HowardQ, front O/S indicator now decided to stop working, hopefuly just bulb but fekked if I can remove bulb.... :smt017

cancelled this mornings mot because the fuel delivery problem has returned, will only fire because no fuel supply, ran like a dream on sunday.
The pump relay is new and works, had the pump out and connectedto the loom it works, the filter and srrainer are clean, the stop valve in the q/d fuel line is not stuck shut, tip over switch dis abled, full voltage going everywhere, put it back together...................
no fuel supply :smt017
no fault code showing :smt017 :smt017

No alarm/ immob fitted. All the fuel wiring been checked, resistance tested, replaced spur from loom to pump as dodgy test reading, new pump relay,
fairly sure its not ECU as the fuel sysrem is secondary to the ECU.
Found earth to pump didnt work so ran new eart from battery negative.
Major headfuck
