Weekend work

#1 Post by Falconihlist » Fri Aug 24, 2012 3:32 pm

The weekend is upon us yet again, so jobs to do :smt003

Managed to get a few bits on the cheap so have to do the following:

Realign the back wheel spindle so it is straight :smt017
Rizoma reservoir pots to be fitted
RSV rear brake conversion
Clutch slave replaced
Renew all reservoir lines and clips
Mille shift arm (and alot of 2nd gear pull offs)
Gasket seal dashboard.

Who said weekends are boring :smt017

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I am working on my trailer that i have built from scratch(It will carry 4 bikes) sorting out the wiring, boarding it out and drinking beer :smt003
Oh yes assisting my mate fitting a new patio window to my house due to my 3 year old monster who smashed the outer glass :smt018
Tolerance will be our undoing.

Im hoping that my mate has finally sorted his bike trailer so I can start work on my Falco
Rear shock change, all fluids changed, tyres, chainset, gen fettling, MOT work,
and find a bloody sidestand, despite all my mates work of welding a new foot, new kickdown bar, altering the amount that the stand swings down........
IT STILL LOOKS LIKE AN UNTRUSTWORTHY BANANA PAINTED BLACK...

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

I'm taking my back wheel out, as after a wheel of trying to fit a chain with a dodgy soft link, (new one took a few days to arrive) I got it back together only to find the rear sprocket studs are now rubbing the swingarm :(
Pass me a hammer, a spanner and a cuppa

I've been painting my hall, stairs and landing carpet .... then decided I didn't like the effect and have been trying to remove the paint with limited success.

..... it all began by going through the cupboard at the top of the stairs to decide which tins of old paint I still need to keep and which to chuck out ..... didn't bargain on knocking one of them down the stairs.

to translate from hobbit:

the aprilia did not start so it is now on an optimate....

(There was a book going on wether or not the ladder would still be on the near side - it has been noted that the hobbit wagon is never pictured from the near side - naturally enough I did share with them that that is where I had fitted your ladder on your last visit....)
