Flying again

Here are a few shots I took today out on the Falco.

Still insured on my original policy and no need for a new MOT. That meant that I only had carry out a few repairs to get the bike road worthy again.

It hasn't cost too much so far.

First there was the internal fuel hose that had become disconnected. Then there is the rear brake level which I haven't bothered with yet. Then the right handle bar (£30 for both and a top clamp), that I'm hoping Pete is going to give a hand with this weekend.

Other than that I've fitted a DNA air filter (£40) and some mirrors (£30).

I'd got a Factory Racing slave cylinder (£90) to go on at some point too.

Oh and a Gabro chip (£60) on the way.

It can't really be seen in the pictures but the left hand panel could do with replacing or being resprayed. They are an odd colour though, a kind of purpley metallicy black.

Both end cans are dented. Unsure what to do about them.

Swop the cans over - right to left..... That will help in the short term

Find a second hand set of renegades or similar over the next few months....

If you swap the cans left to right and vice versa.
Compose a grovelling email to beowulf about how good their cans are and how much you've enjoyed their products and their customer service over the years and ask them if they could possibly see their way to sending you some new stickers because yours have started to peel off.
(I did this and got 2 new stickers, the cans look a treat now)

Perhaps another job for Saturday?

I am also hoping to swop a side stand over for philH then as well.... And make his brakes better as well.....

Good show. Glad you've had an outcome happier than it could have been.

As long as Alad keeps that bloody Anglegrider away from my bike, maybe...
