Plugs

Like most when I bought the bike I bought a set of plugs for the bike, NGK DCPR9E.
Anyway after finally getting round to change them yesterday I took out a set of NGK DCPR9E1X (iridium)
Ran it up to full speed today and to be honest I don't know if the plugs are the problem or not the bike started first time and ticks over fine but it just feels slightly down on power.

So I am asking could it be the plugs are not quite right or the other plugs were just so much better or if I have got the front cylinder IT leads mixed up would the bike even run.

Well

Even though I have no proof and on V twins there is no proof that I am aware of, I think the iridium plugs are better

When he has returned from admiring the Italian antiquities - feels strange for him as he remembers them being new - I am certain that young mr grace will give you the answer chapter and verse

For me, I would check that your HT leads are tight

Then I would put the iridiums back in

Going to do that, as I have done it once doing it again holds no terrors now, I'll carry one of the new plugs as a spare.

The old set back in, went up through Rothbury and then otterburn, 60 miles of bliss and the bike is flying again.

How I noticed the lack of power was how easy it did 75 in 4th gear, the new plugs struggled to get there and it felt out of breath, anyway all is well and I will get a new set for the summer next year.
