Can you get smoked or clear indicator lenses to fit the standard Aprilia Indicators.
If not are there any newer indcators with smoked/clear lenses that will fit from another Aprilia model.
Thanks all

Not seen any for the round ones. Griff sells replacement clear lens sets, not sure but they look like early RSV shape, it doesn't say.

Don't know if the indicators themselves are a straight swap though, or where you'd get a set cheap.

not that i know off, a pretty straight forward replacement before you start getting into LED's are Aprilia Shiver or Tuono ones, they're tear drop (Tuono) and arrow (Shiver) shape and available in clear lenses...some have them on in the Aprilia Gallery, try Rocket Centre (Blackburn) or Ebay or the usual Aprilia Parts suppliers...others will be along with other suggestions i'm sure. I think the Triumph Daytona ones fit too
Voltage etc the same may just need to alter the connectors

They seem to be the "teardrop" ones on Griff's site at £20 odd pounds a set, and should be same fixing.

Yeah, looking at Griff's doubt you'll find them cheaper!
These are the 'arrow' alternatives (on Ebay)

Not sure if you noticed but Griff's are just bulbs and lenses? You'd need to mooch about for the indicators to suit. If he's at this club aprilia thing I'll ask him what they fit.
I'd like to keep the round ones but with clear lenses. If I ever get round to it I'll look at some of the round ones off Aprilia scooters to see how they compare size and hole wise.

Oooops sorry, yes you're right, it's just a lens conversion that is why it's so cheap.

I think so, when i did BikeSafe last year i was a bit nervous but the Biker Cop said it was a fantastic sound when he was following, and they are actually stamped road legal even though they have no baffles!

The RS125 indicators fit I think, and these are available off ebay with clear lens, I had a spare set a fews back of a mate with an RS but sold them.

Here's a pic of clear arrows fitted to my bike

i put LED's on the back and standard bulbs on the front and that keeps them flashing properly. I bought little connectors and crimped them onto the arrows and that saved chopping the original connectors of the main loom, why i bothered i don't know as i won't be putting the originals back on anyway.

If I'd remembered this post then I wouldn't have spent hours gawping at pictures of piaggio/aprilia/derbi pattern indicators last night.
I've ordered some clear round ones. If I'm lucky the lenses and bulbs will drop straight in without changing the whole unit. Yeah, I know, no chance.

At great personal risk (Got wet). I can verify that the lenses aren't going to go straight on as they're about half an inch smaller in diameter. The arms are a smidge longer though so the inner edge of the indicator body starts at about the same place. Front to back the size is similar.
The mountings are the same 'cause I tried one in an indicator hole and everything lines up without wiggling about.
So if you're a bit odd like me and wanted some round indicators with clear lenses they're made by Vicma, part numbers are 7969/7970. According to the bag they fit Derbi Sendas of various types and a couple of Gileras.
