Oz Wheels - Proper or not

Bought a set of Oz wheels for the Falco and need to confirm that these are genuine light weight wheels
The wheels are all prepped and new tyres fitted. I have just weighed the wheels to compare to the Falco wheels and I'm disappointed in the weight difference over the standard falco wheels and tyres
Only difference is the tyres, old diablos on the falco and new rosso's corsa's on the OZ wheels.
1.1 kg difference on the front and 1.3kg on the rear
My OZ wheels have the OZ logo stamped into the spoke recess and Made in Italy etc, but nothing stamped on the rim
There are codes or date stamps also in these recesses
Can these codes be used to verify the wheels age etc
The wheels were from an early (non radial) RSVR, so I thought they would be the real deal.
Have I got it wrong?
