She managed 2500 miles in 8 days without needing assistance. The seat is an exquisite form of torture after 100 miles or so though. And I have white finger (or whatever it's called) which is only (very) slowly returning to normal. But 45 or so to the gallon is better than expected with the high bars.
And McDonalds does keep you alive for 2 days in a foreign country until you find a supermarket.
And Falco's make good walls when you have to 'camp' in the shower blocks because it's raining stair rods.

Probably get nearer 50mpg if you ditched the OE indicators.
Dunno if the seat is an age thing. I was fine with mine for a couple of years then found I was getting numb bum syndrome after 100-120 miles.
I think it's more my circulation than a seat related problem.

Shirley it'd be better to get a bike that does what its meant to rather than modify something that then becomes (excuse the pun) a pain in the arse.

I guess it depends on the balance in riding over the year. A week or two touring may not be enough reason to buy a Futura (other sofas are available from DFS) if the remainder of the year is spend ding what the Falco does best.
Might be better to get rid of the ape hangers and sit on the Falco in the way it was designed to be sat on.

I enjoyed riding mine even though it was a bit small for me. Just can't see the point in sticking your bonce out in the airflow, a naked bike would be cheaper.
