Shame the spring has been powder-coated, as original Ohlins springs have a code on them that tells what spring rate they are. All you can do is try it and see. If it's the 'wrong' spring it should be immediately apparent; it will either be way too hard or way too soft.

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

Yes, but as part of the powder coating process the spring will have had the old paint blasted off, along with the Ohlins code...

Now I know you are getting used to me being shall we say technically challenged but I feel I must point out that

C) if you don't wear White boots and I am just having a senior moment then you're ugly and your mum dresses you funny :smt003

well chaps, it looks like christmas has come early in the way of £1000 xmas pressie from my mother :smt003
as i now have a mille shock and the yoke ,bars and tuono fairing what other mods do you guys suggest?
i do still need brake and clutch lines and a tuono clock/headlight bracket and the fairing spraying to match the black paint work.
so was thinking maybe a set of cans a tail tidy and maybe get the wheels powder coated blue.
any other suggestions?

Well lucky you.
I would consider gold wheels but that is down to personal choice BUT.
Have you had clutch jet changed, 15tooth front sproket too, these will improve the bike for riding especially around town and are a must. that will only knock thirty quid off your budget.
How about a renegade air box, the induction noise is supposed to be awsome though i have not fitted mine yet. brand new i do believe they are £175.00 though a second hand one should be easyish to source with a bit of patience.
Look out for a set of 54mm throttle bodies, though the stacks are rare, but i am looking into sorting that problem, and might soon have a solution.
Add a gabro chip and a pc3 and a dyno run to set this all up should knock a big wedge out of the grand you have
How about a mille swingarm and single sided exsaust :smt017. All this will make the bike mega quick, These are the mods i am going too on my mercury grey one. But with other things going on has well i have passed your budget already :smt102.
I am sure there are other members that can assist, cue aladinsane :smt003

Brother at last I've found you it's taken time but at last we've found each other :smt008

Oh can you say hi to mum and pass on my address and tell her settling up for the last 30 odd Christmas pressies will be fine :smt002

And personally I think blue wheels are fugly but as Jay says down to personal taste

what other mods do you guys suggest
possibly the bravest comment ever spoken here....

I would just look through the assorted falco related galleries and make a note of what you like

be very aware that some things are very very rare......

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
