If it's just Debz and me it'll be one Falco and one Tuono. Although it's recommended as bike friendly I didn't want to give the impression there'd be hordes of us partying into the wee hours and doing burn outs up and down the road. He may be bike friendly, but there's no saying his neighbours are, just playing it safe for now :smt004

Thanks for the research on this as well BTW!

So.... has this idea gone cold? What is the current state of plans. Nooj is going one place, aladinesane somewhere else... Who is joining in what, if anything?

Because I have not struck whilst the iron was hot, my wife is beginning to think of other things that I could be doing/paying for. Help.

i will still be doing something - but after the death of my audi a week or so ago i have not had spare cash to confirm things

my dates are still set though :)

(And one of my mates wants to come but needs to change his bike - into a falco possibly or a triumph 955i....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Ah - the art of alchemy is still alive !

I'm still hoping to go to France/Europe - though still not discussed with the mrs.

At the weekend I persuaded her to let me buy my company car off of the company and opt out of the car scheme - thus gaining a monthly car allowance for me to fritter away on the car and my bike (I might not have mentioned that bit to her).
I thought that was pushing my luck enough for one weekend ... France trip discussion will come as soon as things seem negotiable ....

We're booked in and it's paid for. All we have to do now is get there. The dates are in the poll thread (I think), basically the last two weeks in June, overlapping bit into July. (21st June - 5th July)

The owner knows someone else may be dropping by, but we didn't say who or when, so basically turn up when you like and we'll act all surprised about it :smt003

Phew!! 34 degrees today. Bet you are all glad you are heading down here! Cooling off a little tomorrow to 25, which makes it more bearable.
Enjoy the trip and see you soon.

Hi Pete,

We will be down in early July (2nd to 15th), but travelling by Big White Bird (plane) instead of Big Red Bird (Falco). £40 return for two flights was simply too good to pass up. So we'll be cruising about the place on a 20 year old VFR. Ho hum...

We're intending to catch up with Nooj and Debz on 3rd July (just before they go back). Will you be joining us, or shall we catch up with you another day?

Yeh.. I'll meet up with you on that date. I'll try to get a barbeque arranged, so we can do the bike bit, then pool, then do the food/wine thing. It's Friday then, so seems like a good idea. When does Nooj + Debz do the journey back? Saturday or Sunday?

Hi Pete, I'm not sure but I think Nooj and Debz train it back on Saturday (although I'm not certain). We fly into Beziers Thursday midday-ish, so should be ready to rumble on Friday.

And for the first time ever, we'll be in France on Bastille Day. Apparently the French go a bit Radio Rental then, don't they?

Where are you thinking of doing the firework watching? Carcassonne is awesome, (but so are the crowd of 750,000 people who watch it). Sete has the water jousting, most other places just have fireworks and parties.

Haven't really thought about it, in fact I wasn't really aware of what the French got up to for the glorious 14th (setting fireworks off and having an unscheduled dip in the Herault river, obviously...)

I suspect we'll be doing something relatively local, as we'll be flying back the day after (but fortunately not until late afternoon).

But Carcassone would be an incredible backdrop for a fireworks display...

Day by the pool yesterday, with food and drink of course. Nooj and Debz off to do the Chateaux on the edge of the Pyrenees today, in 35 degree heat! Wednesday, the three of us going to Andorra for the day. Nooj has been snapping away, so no doubt plenty of Aprilia pics later. Ho hum.. back to the wine..

It's a tough old life you've got there, Pete. Looking forward to joining you on Friday. Any plans for watching the Laguna MotoGP yet?
