That looks great by the way.
I wasn't sure abut the colour but I can see why people like them.

Best pic I could do. My DSLR has a 6 year old sensor so is very noisy in low light, even at 400iso.

Easy job to fit with out lifting the tank - secure the cable to negative terminal behind upper twin spar of frame using cable ties to secure

Re bar ends, use a strap wrench to hold/ grip the bar end then use an Allen key to remove the securing bolt

Call me if you need a hand

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Thanks. I've got a wrench for the bar ends with suitable socket. I've only got some old plumbers pliers to old them in place. I'll have a go at removing the ends before I start the other stuff.

How about getting the old grips off. Will they just slide off with a bit of encouragement or do they need to be cut off?

Did you use any adhesive on the R&G grips?

You'll probably knacker them with pliers ... maybe if you can put some thick rubber over the jaws you might get away with it.

Silicone heat mats - or a scrap thereof - are really good here - more resistant to tearing, more cushioning, & more grippy.

Or find a bird with heated rollers - they sometimes have a similar mat with them

Toolstation sell rubber strap wrenches for £6. Easy does it. Shame I won't have time to do the grips before my ride on saturday.

Bought my heated grips now.

The electrical stuff seems ok, but i've not a clue how to easily get the old grips and bar ends off.

Additionally, without lifting the tank, i'm unsure how to best route the wiring.
We really need to get the oasis greens togeather for a snap shot sooner than later :smt001

The way i usually get the grips off mine is slide a small screwdriver (or i use a metal kebab prong) up inside the grip then using the straw on the wd40 tin give a squirt up inside, pull the prong out, twist and pull the grip and it should slide off............hopefully.......happy days :smt001

I would be up for that...
Newark is not far for me but i think to get all the green ones togeather considering where people have to come from may be a little difficult.
But just for a general meet up i would definatly be up for that :smt003
I will bring the green bike just in case :smt002

Definitely avoid Easter weekend; Bank Holidays are a magnet for precipitation...
