Hmnnn worryingly starting to sound like a candidate for yellow

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

black and silver is my favourite.
I'm on the prowl...[/quote]
The silver ones(Mercury grey) don't have much black on them at all.
If it is silver you like willapotamous is selling one https://www.ridersite.com/viewtopic.php?t=8901
It will probably be very standard now has most of bits have been sold.
I have some and aladinsane has too...
Try and do a deal with him, will is very mechanical minded being a machinist so i would imagine the oil and filter would have been changed regularly.
I have seen this bike at mallory park and it is really nice

I compared all the big V twins on fuel when buying my Falco. The Falco has much better mpg than the VTR. On my old 140 mile commute (mostly motorway) I got a genuine 50mpg from the Falco - that's riding with fuel in mind, but crusing at 80-90mpg. Mixed riding will bring it down around 40mpg. By all accounts the VTR is poor on fuel (low 30s). There are very few big bikes that can do a genuine 50mpg. Most owners lie to themselves about mpg. mpg figures are very sensitive to rider and use remember.
Any thoughts on this?

At 15,000 miles, its due a major service in 3,000. States it hasn't been used since 2099 so the tyres might might need replacing.
If it's been stored with fuel in it, then how does that effect things? Obviously with carbs it would have been a problem, but I don't know about FI
I don't know if the Datatool S4000 is an immobiliser as well as an alarm. I have a bad history with immobilisers and had to have the last one removed from my bike, after it failed and left me without transport for a week.

Yes its a very very rare oasis green one, only 5 in the country they look stunning in the flesh....
Believe me i know i have one of the 5
The money they are asking for the bike is very reasonable and if i had the cash it would be sat at the side of my oasis
pete is trying to source all the oasis green ones to meet up in mallory for a photo of these rare and wonderfull bikes in july
Wow i think you would be lucky to pick one of these up again

You're right the tyres might have gone off, gives you a bit of haggling space. Only real problem is the colour. If you buy it Alad will hassle you to take it and have it photographed. See this thread -wayofthedarkhand wrote:Any thoughts on this?
