Let me have a look at home. I _think_ I saved the SL chip + daughter board when I emptied the workshop.Twintin wrote:I suppose the chances of getting a daughter board if it does need one are nil? Unless anyone has one floating around
If you don't hear back from me in the next day or so, send a PM. I have a habit of forgetting things.

It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.
Thanks for that much appreciated, ill not let you forgetViking wrote:Let me have a look at home. If you can get the fighter chip to work via a daughter board then fine, but, if it is at all like the SL chip then it will be fun, brutal and rough.
Awesome stomping ability, front wheel in the air 1st, 2nd, sometimes 3rd if you are heavy twisting it back, BUT....
not so good on reliable tick over, everything or nothing on pull aways ( wheelie or stall )... unrefined
.
Gabro seems to be the best option, Ive tried stock, SL, Forza, Gabro eproms

Cleverly disguised as an adult !
I disagree with you there. The SL chip is a bit rough compared to Gabro's offering, but I never had any problems with uneven idle or the stall / wheelie effect taking off.fatboy wrote:If you can get the fighter chip to work via a daughter board then fine, but, if it is at all like the SL chip then it will be fun, brutal and rough.

I think it might be down to your riding style or (lack of?) clutch control.

OK, I found it. I have no idea what it's worth, postage from Oz would less than a fiver.Twintin wrote:Thanks for that much appreciated, ill not let you forget
How does GBP20 (posted) sound? Shoot me a PM and we can work from there.
I'll second that - everyone here is very helpful and you can usually get an answer to a question fairly quickly.Twintin wrote:What are really helpful forum this is, thanks for all the input from everyone.

Lord help us.... You will be proposing we don't mod our falco's next!
Seriously, the standard chip is ok BUT - an after market chip can make a great bike better....
Perhaps worth while coming to a meet / gathering and try some of the other bikes with different chips?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
