No keep them together

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Hi Rob, Welcome to the Site.

All I saw on the last 2 pages was blah blah blah KR1S...

Keep us up to date with how that renovation/rebuild comes along, plenty of stinkwheel fans on the site and plenty with a love for Kawasakis too :smt023

So there's no fitting longer bars to the standard clamps then?
I know a man with a press. He does smell of semen and Werther's Originals though.

Hello and welcome to the site Rob! :smt006

I'll leave it at that for now, as others have already suggested lots.

Blimey, i turn my back for 48hrs and the whole thing is out of control :smt003

Kwackerz, will do my best with the pics for the KR1S, got to strip it down 1st, though im restoring as i go so brackets get painted, panels are rubbed down etc.

As for all they other bits, i'm still tyring to work through the answers;
chip- what do you guys recommend.

Exhausts-was thinking of MTC or fuel as my pockets aren't deep enough for Akra's

Keep the headlights as they are, and does the renegade airbox kit make much difference and where do you get them from now?

Should i be lucky enough to find a bag of money then i'd probably go for the OZ rims from an RSV-R.

If i've not remembered other bits i'm sure you see my posts :smt003

Thanks again for all the input guys, though for now i think it will be the bar/fairing mod and maybe the rear shock

I have short fuel cans can't find the flickr link at the mo but I love them and they have a lifetime guarantee to the original purchaser. I'll try to find the link later
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.

I have Beowulf old style Titanium Oval cans, (gold shade), on mine and I am very happy with them.
They told me that if I kept the baffles in the mixture would be OK but trying a K&N filter would also be a good idea.
Did that and it works fine as is.
Also said if I took them out it may need a Power Commander plus suitable map.
Still pretty noisey with the baffles in, so left them that way.
Cops start off with funny looks, but so far have not taken it further once they see the legal stamps and baffles.
Still back right off when ever I am near a group of them "monitoring" a bike meet or whatever.
Lots of other good reports from other people with Blue Flame and Fuel cans etc..

Think that I would look at second hand cans - I rated both fuel and blue flame ( I liked them a lot)

I paid 150 quid for my renegades :)

You can make your own evo style air kit for under 20 quid.
A rene style kit can also be made quite cheaply or buy a new one from griff
Either solution will give 5bhp - a k&n will give 2 to 3

Chip wise - do all the performance mods you want then chat with Gabro

yep, you're right i probably won't!

well the yoke and bars turned up yesterday, just waiting for the tuono fairing to arrive, then its brake lines clutch line and tuono clock/headlight bracket, rubbing down painting and fitting :smt003

And then i'll find i've missed something, usually happens :smt003
