I Change my opinion of thes tyres from neutral in a positive way to so far more than just bloody good !! Couple of hundred miles in and they don't feel particularly sticky like the old macadams did but they have much better stability and grip. It would be unfair to compare them to the Michelin that was on there because that was an old tyre on it's way out but that said I am , so far, glad I chose to pay the extra over the cost of new replacement michelins

Well I am getting to the point where the tyres are still legal but they are just shouldering on the front and squaring on the rear so looks like time to get new ones again

Still I got about 8k front and rear so far lots of motorway dual carriageway miles in there tooo so profiles lasted well as others said they would (Roadsmarts)

so do I stick with the same or go for a change ?

I'm very much of the opinion that if it ain't broke don't fix it. Especially with tyres. If you like what you've got and are happy with the life and confident in their performance then why take a risk on someone else's recommendation when their riding ability/style and expectations may be so much different from yours?

Now my Angels are scrubbed in I wouldn't go for anything else.
Truly stable at silly lean angles........no more chicken strips for me lol!
As for wear rate, well so far not enough miles to judge.........but I'll let you know after the planned solo trip sur-le-continent.

actually just realised mine may be the originasl roadsmarts not the roadsmarts 11 which means I can feel like i am havingn a change and staying the same -- happy days

Last lot I bought from M&P and got Mike at Middlewich (Two Wheeled Tyres) to fit to loose wheels. £140 for a pair of Pirelli Diablo Strada's just seemed like too good a deal.

Turned out that when I added fitting and the palaver of carting them and the wheels to him it wasn't more than a £10-15 saving after all.

Prior to that I've had tyres fitted there for years. Might give Spanns a look next time though as they're a bit closer and do my MOT's.

just had a quick look at online prices and Steve does them for much the same price fitted I think I paid 225 for the pair last august..
