Nope, leaving the slave cylinder standard. It works, so that'll do me. I have two of these blimmin things to run - can't afford everything!

Yep, they're Avon Pro-Xtreme Rain. A road legal wet. A good hillclimb tyre actually because they're not as soft as a full wet, so can still be used when it's dry but cold. They're pretty good in the wet too - as they have a healthy sea/land ratio.

They were last season's tyres on the old wheels. The tyres for this year are on other wheels - these are just for rolling the bike around on in the garage.

So you have a cold wet garage then :smt003

It's looking good Ben!

Be nice to rack up a few early class wins.

Good luck mate.

Dry and cold actually. Unless I put the space heater on, but that chows through the gas. I reserve that for the coldest of cold days...

Don't forget to let us know when and where your riding.
If i'm off i'll come and visit, if it's near enough.
Maybe a meet could be arranged with some of the others from the forum.

The Falclimber will be at Wiscombe Park hillclimb, near Honiton Devon tomorrow. It's the 500 Club classic car event and the bikes run too. Lots to see. If anyone wants to come along and say hi, please do.

Wiscombe is an amazing hill in a beautiful location. The big bikes are a bit of a handful at this track but by golly they go when opened up on the straights!

Don't happen to havea spare left clip on lurking about in the back of the garage by any chance?

An update on the Falclimber.

I've just swapped the rear disc for a Galfer wavey item. The Galfer is 257g (0.25kg or over 1/2lb) lighter.

*Watch this space for news of the new race weight after a bit of drilling, hacking and turning. Over 1kg has come off the bike - but it needs to go on the scales to see the final fighting weight.

The bike's on the dyno on Tuesday to measure the difference between the standard link pipe and the modded link pipe, and to have a custom map. I'll post the differences up here next week.

there are two - I was going to run one, but need a different master cylinder. Needed too much of a squeeze...

All this season I've had trouble keeping the front wheel down on the Falclimber - especially off the start line. So...

...I'm in the process of having the stock arm lengthened. I bought a spare arm off eBay and a friend of mine cut the two apart so the new swingarm will be 35mm longer. This should be enough to reduce the propensity to wheelie like a bas*ard everywhere and thus save those precious thousandths of a second that can mean winning or losing in a hillclimb.

I'll put some pics up shortly.

Nice job.
Did you have to sleeve it? What did it do to the weight?
