That really depends upon the performance of the breakdown truck that it's sitting on.
Uh oh. Doesn't fill me with confidence.

I now own a black one.

Great news zoidberg - don't worry - it's one black Falco in particular that collects Green Flag loyalty points.

Hope you enjoy yours.

Glad you got sorted

I would come up with a pithy comment but

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Ok, it's lumpy as hell below 6k and sounds like its popping back a little. Goes like stink after that. Do they all sound slightly mechanical? Engine that is. My old gixxer had that rattle they all have, is the falco the same?

I guess that's the EPROM? What is the forza EPROM on eBay like? Or where can I get a better one.

How do I check the inlet restricted and wire mod thing?

Cheers.

/insert badger pubes search facility

Have a look in the Aprilia technical section for deristriction info - very good article

Next, check the oil level AND read up here on how to do it - it's not like an inline 4!

Next - what's been done to the bike - both aftermarket add ons and servicing....

There is a known flat spot around 5k revs on a standard bike - but that is sort of normal for the big rotax v twins

I would not describe the engine as being mechanical but I may just be used to it

Sorry. Posting off my phone and its not great.

standard except slip ons.

Not overly noisy just a little cammy.....perhaps valve clearances want a looking at. Im happy with it ie its not a worrying noise if ya get my meaning.

It has just been serviced so should be ok....However I will give it a check over. Is there a preferred method of checking the oil or is the manual sufficient?

Cheers

Manual works BUT

RIDE IT FOR 30 miles then check it... Keep bike upright and turn engine off then check

Oh, very unusual for valve clearances to be out....

It's probably nothing. It doesn't sound unhealthy.

It's just new to me and I'm learning it :smt002

The technical section linked me to AF1 for the restriction removal and when I followed that link it wasn't there?

Help please.....

Don't expect it to be like an i-4 ..... you may have to adapt yourself to the bike a bit to enjoy it at its best.

Lumpiness may be that the throttle bodies could do with balancing.
