Well, just as I thought - the front's shit.

To quote Jethro, " Th' prob'm is ..." with the top yoke conversion I can't get to the adjusters on the fork top cos the bars are in the way. I'm going to need to drop the fork-legs to give me access then jack the rear up to give me the steering angle back.

This could get interesting.

Is the front standard, i.e. pretty much as it came out of the factory? If so, I found that no matter what I did with the adjusters I couldn't improve it, and ran the risk of making it worse. Sorry to be so negative...

The sprinng you have on the rear has a rate that is a 12.5% reduction from standard (700 kg/mm vs. 800 kg/mm). To balance the bike you'd need a similar reduction at the front, and that's without taking into account the damping. By my calculations, that's a fork spring rate of 0.91875 (or 0.92 when rounded up).
