Another three hours and I seem to have sorted it, got it to run at 75 and 74 degrees which it has not done but then I realised I never ride at this time of year and it had no plastic on it, anyhoo put all of the bits back on and a run up to 90 mph for a longer run and it settled at 76 degrees on the nose.

I think it is just dumb luck and plenty of "burping" that fixed it in the end.
Cheers for all of the help from the gallery.

She is now under blankets on an opitmate and looking forward to the spring.

Service light came up on mine last week ..... Oil, Filter, Coolant etc all purchased (the liquid items from Opie using our forum discount) so will be changing all of them next week.
Glad it's not a valve check service this time.

Yes burpage is going to be in order ..... often a bit hit and miss - the link hose between the rads being a good air-lock location.

After all the crap I had the first time, last week I had cause to take out some coolant after I had then put it back ran the bike for 15 minutes and then cracked the pressure cap, let it settle and then checked the level, seemed to sort itself straight away this time.

It's something like that. I checked in the workshop manual before I ordered mine but can't remember now for sure .... a quick look at the workshop manual will tell you.
