I don't know of one that can actually find things that haven't yet been posted up - but if you know of one, it would be extremely useful.flatlander wrote:Anyone know of a good search function that might help ?![]()

Hi D-R here's a list of parts to make up a test kit, I have slightly changed the items to what I have, I.e smaller bore tubing .. Cheaper
I have also put another tee on the list for the pressure/exhaust vent and the instead of connecting the metal pipe from the gastester just connect the clear tubing to this other plastic tee. I'm sure it will be as clear as mud.

Rode to Barnsley and back this weekend to see friends, was great cruising on the motorway but when you needed a bit of go in 6th it wasn't the best, so looking forward to recieving my bits and bringing a bit more mid range.
Seeing Griff wednesday too so I'll have a chat to him about tuning the engine.

That's saved me a lot of work.
I'm thinking that this is what you are suggesting:

Yep - didn't list it in the key on the picture but hadn't forgotten it.gazzo wrote:D-R don't forget the 8mm copper as well, sorry didn't see that you didn't list that. Also the last tee just connect the clear tubing from the gas tester
Looking forward to the bits turning up and playing with it.

Well just finished trying to set the CO levels.
Gunson Gas Tester ...... what (an expensive) pile of crap!
"leave the reading to stabilise" Hahahaha - yeah that's a good one from the Gunson department of dark humour.
Not a hope in hell of that ever coming close to remotely stabilising ...... and the readings from front and rear cylinders wildly different.
Gave up with that and just balanced the things with my carbtune - at least they're balanced even if the CO is all over the place.

Hi D-R Sorry to hear about the Gastester problem, did you manage to get it set at around 2% in fresh air without connecting it to anything?
The reason I ask this because when I first got mine it would set no problem with the adjustment knob at approx half way.
When I damaged the pulse meter/pump, even with the knob fully adjusted in either direction it would not set.
Where did you purchase it from, maybe it was faulty in the first place.

TBH I couldn't get it to stabilise properly in free air it would hover at 2% then just when you think it's OK and you're about to start it would drift a bit so you'd adjust and the same thing would happen again and again and again. Just smallish drifts and took a while - but never properly stable.gazzo wrote:Hi D-R Sorry to hear about the Gastester problem, did you manage to get it set at around 2% in fresh air without connecting it to anything?

Much more erratic when connected to the bike.
Bought brand new from Halfords (they were cheaper than anywhere on ebay)
Might try it on the car to see if it works OK in a more typical environment.
