Gixer does bolt straight on if you dispense with the sidestand switch - but I'd sooner keep the sidestand switch
(actually you'd also need to source a shorter spring too - so fettling is better)

I've a gixxer stand and still have full use of my switch. It was an early k something gixxer it came from. Drill out the mounting hole on the leg then drill a small locating hole for the sidestand switch pin. As you said though, had to locate a shorter spring...

getting some shims turned for the clip-ons and ringing guy next door too him about a stand in the morning.

stand isn't a priority...just if I can I will
if you can't ride it....
OR take it too bed...

If your having shims turned, make sure you split them otherwise at the correct torques, the clipons will be gripping the shims only and not the fork leg. Maybe only 1mm thick but they're strong enough to not collapse and grip the leg
