Went out and put some more miles on friday. She ran beautifully with no problems at all. Only out for about 90mins.

Think I'll book some service and tune up time with Griff and explain to him what was happening and see if he has a view.

seems ok for now anyway.

On mine

I think it is the connectors to the right side injectors - I think mine are a touch suscepible to the wet....

I am taking assorted things off the bike this winter, as a few new mods need to be done, and one of the things i will be doing is taking that lot apart and having a look

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Hi all,

Glad you got it sorted Nibbs :smt002 Seems like the rash of poorly falco's is prevalent at the moment. Or our steads needs more TLC than we care to bestow on them :smt001

Spread the love and care to all falco riders :smt006 Especially the bad weather is coming along....

He'll probably try to sell you a cheap big-bore kit .... that's his latest "thing" ... rumours of 140-150 bhp at the rear wheel !

BIG Bore Kit...

Hi all,

They are about a grand on AF1 site. Will it really give that type of performance :smt007 Cheaper than buying a new bike and leave said bikes for dead would be fun :smt002

He's getting pricing but should undercut that by some margin (by all accounts) and that power is what he's confident of on a Mille - whether you'd get quite that on a Falco remains to be seen .... but if the engine is stripped down then it may make sense to rebuild with Mille heads (bigger valves and revised cam timing).

Dunno what this would do for insurance or whether there might be any reliability issues but sounds interesting.
He's got a "thread" going on Facebook discussing this.

Funnily enough I have discussed this with griff

This is a major job - engine out - so labour has to be priced in

Also, we spoke about shopping to big bore heads..... Similar job, so do it at the same time

Oh, also we chatted about super chargers.....

I'll sit and wait, see what the reliability is.

Why is his lordship only just getting into big bore kits for Aprilias? Theyve been about for ages!

I guess if you can guarantee reliability and can find someone to insure you then it'd be a talking point I guess.

the reason why there is an interest is a new source of certain parts that were formally 'king expensive

check out af1 prices for a clue

It's the sort of think Pete would fit .... claim it ensures that "the black ones are the fastest" (lol) and then come up with some feeble excuse as to why they have to time him round Mallory with a calendar ......

Snetterton? At least choose somewhere with passion (and paddock hill!) such as Brands.. Indy or GP, not fussed... :smt002
