Hey guy's, just in and have to go out again so i may not get to the zorsts tonight. If i do i'm going to remove the mid section and start again without any shimming anywhere and see what gives, i'll take pics along the way.
Furygan, any suggestion is good to me
but i bought these for the falco a few years ago so i'm fairly sure there the right ones but you never know.
Blinkey, i'm glad you like the black ones because i do too
and thanks for selling it to me
for a split second i wondered will this suit her in the flesh but yes yes yes it does, just need to get these exhausts sorted

The mid section is wrong IMHO
I cannot work it out but the side on photo looks wrong - cannot put my finger on it
Woody - take the mid section off - then somewhere on here is a thread that shows the before part of gregd's mid section mod
I think that will confirm it

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Is this the post you were refering to Alad?

I measured between the two ends inside to inside and got approx 360mm maybe that size would match someone else's and let me know if the left pipe is perhaps bent in. Iv'e spent hours working on her tonight trying the exhausts on and off and nothing seems to work for the left can, feeling kinda scunnered with it now

andy - as normal was right - BUT it was the trigger i needed - and yes, i am pretty certain that the left outlet and rear down pipe on yours is faulty woody
i cannot prove it - but i think calling a breaker or two, or chatting with a few aprilia folk would be a good idea
(I think griff may have one but i could be wrong. I do not have one spare - i sold mine for 50 quid last year....)

That looks fekked. How it got that fekked is beyond me but those dinks would explain your symptoms. Alad or D-R will confirm as to whether it should have indents but from memory it shouldnt. all I can think is that it's been dropped on it's side with the original fitted can on the left taking the hit and causing the collector to bend.
New collector or heat and bend, which will mean trial and error with how much. Tis the cheaper solution maybe.
Or go for the single sided option but that will require a larger bore can..
I guess the existing cans and link pipes could part fund the single side though..
Anyhoo. See what the Gurus recommend..
**edit** ok, wait for the badger.. Alad has posted

nod
it is the drink on the left that should not be there - along with the ripple in the metal (There is a dink on the outside for the side stand but....)
also, the down curve from the rear header is wrong - hence the splaying out
i knew that looking at the picture from greys work would trigger it - but i could not really browse on the phone from work LOL

That xaust looks way to low in the side-on shot.
I don't have the Essex mod of the mille swingarm, but looking at my pipes, the front comes off the head, down & ROUND the right side of the oil tank, not under it as it shows in the pic.
Maybe the front & back header pipes have been mixed-up (no offense) and 1 is longer than the other or something which has thrown the geometry out.
My front pipe runs round alongside the oil tank so much higher up so all the angles will be different etc.
