Can't believe you'll do it TN. Not for a jap 4 anyway.

BUT..... just in case can I stake a claim to the reservoir caps (what colour?)

AND... Riser Bars ( think I may have been pipped here). Any chance of a photo so we can see how much they rise?

And with a moniker like TWINNUT......

Drop the TWIN if you move to a four........

You will be missed.

I'd love to buy loads of your bits but I probably shouldn't.

April fool??

#19 Post by Nooj » Tue Apr 03, 2007 10:19 pm

I had a go on a mate's FZ1 a week or so ago, very smooth, easy to control, fast as you want, but BORING!!! IL4's are best hidden away inside those tedious, bland, metal boxes with a wheel at each corner. Wouldn't swap the Falco for one, no way!

If you do though, can I have second dibs on your rearsets? :smt003

Clever post. Saying you are selling the falco but avoiding the abuse by listing bling for the magpies :smt001

errrr, not that I'm interested in the wheels or anything, but should you decide to defect........

a mate of mine ordered one last aug 06 plate with 1200 miles on the clock, it looked the bizz. it do'nt now,the paints lifting at the fork bottoms, calliper and disk bolts are all brown so are the brake hose unions, axle's and nuts the same, all the jubilee clips are rustyand paints starting to peel on the rear wheel. needless to say it's going.after saying that it's not been a bad winter.

Surely warranty covers all of that?

i had all on getting my warped disk's covered with 500 miles on the clock so i do'nt think you've much chance with corrosion.

Corrosion isnt covered under warranty; My zx6r went to shit after the first sign of rain and I tried Kwak Uk who told me 'They all do that. Cant possibly design the bike for all conditions, etc, etc'.
I was not best pleased. :smt013
I wont buy another Jap bike, (well, cept maybe fer a zx10r; wanted one instead of the 6r but wallet couldnt take the extra strain), as they simply arent built fer salted/wet/greasy/snowy/British weather.
Fine if your a 'only on a hot Sunday' kinda rider, though Iam an all year-rounder.
Oh, and I refuse to buy a second bike fer the bad weather when, imo, the first bike should be built to a standard that can take the crap as well as the heatwaves! Maybe Jap bikes should come with a disclaimer...? :smt002
Oh, n that zorst looks like summink Id smoke out of on a Friday night... :smt003

Honda's don't fall apart like that.

I'd take issue with the "its not our fault" brigade. complain to the Ombudsman who deals with retail sales, its not fit for purpose.

BMW's were well known to flake, nowadays they don't (unless its a Friday thrown together spare parts bin bike).
