Falco v Tuono

However much I may hate to admit it, it does appear that on this occasion, you are right!Aladinsaneuk wrote:actually there was a very rare early tuono factory....
... That said, it's not a "Fatory" which was the original thing we were supposed to be comparing with

In answer to the OP - yes I would.
Two reasons. It'd be cheaper than sourcing all of the goodies to add to mine, and it would be newer.
The only thing is though that I'd have to have both. And I'd still modify Bess. And I have no logical or reasonable argument to back that up other than 'Because I can.'

I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?

The erre's were the real McCoy - Erre is the name of the assembly plant where the racebikes are assembled
It is also where I think around 500 tuonos and milles were assembled. With the exception of the tanks all body parts were carbon fibre. Ohlins all round and so on.
On the upper part of the Mille side panel and lower part of the tuono fairing was a small discrete ERRE sticker
Not quite as rare / exclusive as a Nera but....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Sorry to rewind but this one has still got me thinking!anzacinexile wrote:Falco - young blades machine

Your call............

To be honest it's probably the other way around.
The Falco doesn't help eiither, as people don't let them go too quickly.
So even the younger Falco owners are old by the time they eventually get rid, (if they get rid).
Then again, I was an old fart when I bought the "Dark Side" nearly eight years ago, and won't be getting ride while I can still ride.

I've ridden more than one and maybe a little surprising, I found the Falco more comfortable on long hauls. Wind is one reason but the major contributor for me was bum ache a lot sooner caused by the more upright seating position.ReggieGasket wrote:I'd like to ride one to see how high bars affects the riding experience.
I have a Fazer 600 for work duties and I have exactly the same issue with her as well

Totally agree - the Fazer is a lot more usable in traffic. Pretty sure its the riding position because there ain't a huge difference in weightReggieGasket wrote:Yes, I'm not a big fan of unfared bikes in terms of protection. I'm more interested in how the high bars make the bike feel more agile/controllable or not. My CB500 is not that light, but you can throw it around in town a lot easier.
