Surely a 'negative' is just an earth. And there should be plenty of those, such as the motor. Look where the battery negative strap runs to, and that should be a good earth. The engine is favourite, as it doesn't have a layer of paint on it (as the frame normally does).

I need one right next to the fuse box. I want a wire to splice into.

I'd take a lead to something like the front fairing mount or even the tank mounting bolts by the headstock. You do need a decent earth.

Then I don't have a circuit do it? I don't see any other wires connected to the frame or random bolts around there.

Is there no a wire I can splice into, that returns to the battery?

Negative = Earth. You don't need a wire that snakes its way back to the battery, as the battery itself gets its 'Negative' (i.e. Earth) from the chasssis/engine. On a motorcycle you're surrounded by negative/earth. Tap into it wherever is most convenient.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I've got a couple of bikes in this morning with the same issue. I fitted R&G grips to them (along with about 12 others) last year and two have this barely warm issue. R&G have sent out two new sets as replacements. Sounds like a controller issue from what I've heard so far.

I went through 3 controllers. And 4 sets of grips.

None are what you'd call hot more sort of just above warm.

I'm of the conclusion that R&G grips just aren't as good as some of the other brands.

There's a thread on BCF about someone complaining that their R&G grips never really get hot either.

I agree, fitted R&G on mine and not half as hot or fast to heat as the oxford grips on my previous bike ,then again they are half the price ................?

well I fitted a very early set of the R&G's to hanna's oasis green - and they were / are fine - equivalent to the oxfords fitted to my falco. I have publically stated that the R7G's were a better product - they are not so chunky as the oxfords, and the switch / control was a better product imho

am sorry Carl has had so many problems - I recommended them :(
