Ses welcome to the debts and FairPlay to her she knows better than to go near the bike
For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.
That said when it comes to motorbikes, I like to ride side saddle with a nice frock

they are not loud
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

come off on their own.

Just got this back from the DVLA or some such organisation.
"Under the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, as amended, motorcycles are required to meet strict noise limits before they are permitted to enter into service. The current limits based on engine capacity are;
Up to 80cc = 75dB(A);
81-175cc = 77dB(A);
and over 175cc = 80dB(A)
Once in service, exhausts and silencers are required to be maintained in good working order and not altered so as to increase noise. In addition, replacement exhaust silencers are required to be marked to show compliance with European or British Standard noise limits and silencers intended for off road use have to be marked to indicate this. During the MoT test, exhausts and silencers are checked and a machine will fail if it emits noise that is unreasonably higher than a similar one fitted with a silencer in average condition or if the silencer or the exhaust does not have a marking suitable for the age or use of the machine.
I hope this information is helpful."
does this mean that all after market exhausts are technically ilegal, the fuels I want to buy are rated at 96db
