I've got a special two handed hammer. For really tight screws.MartDude wrote:To go with the left-handed hammerrandomsquid wrote:Then all you need is a left handed drill.
Any Ideas??

Obviously I was wrong .... the simplest way must involve a large number of superconducting magnets to create a contra-rotating field that if tuned to a precise frequency will release the bolt with a left-handed screwing action.
OR YOU COULD GET AN F-ING DREMEL-TYPE-THING, CUT A SLOT IN IT AND UNDO IT WITH A FLAT-BLADE SCREWDRIVER

Top idea that - wish I'd thought of it.keithy wrote:Did this the other day no need for flux capacitors or even photon torpedos i cut a slot in the bolt head with a dremmel and used a plain screwdriver to remove it was not tight.
Cheers Keith

Yeah that seems a good starting point if only someone else had thought of it earlier

Now about my left handed trapped stud do o need a right handed drill and bit or would a neutral one do?

For the avoidance of doubt and for the benefit of my wife, not everything I may say here will be absolutely true I may on ocassion embellish a little for effect.

Do you have a right handed one as well or is this left handed thing a key part of your world of perversion?

Definitely ever since Mrs Gorbet used to chastise me for being a child of Satan for writing left handed
Still she did me a favour really as when I lost the use of my left hand side I was able to switch to to the right ... See something else we may have in common apart from the best coloured Falco

Or. Just as a theory, I don't expect this to be possible. Get one of those Dremel type thingy's, cut a slot in the top and undo it with a flat head screw driver. A left handed one of course. When cutting, don't forget to catch the sparks.. Save up enough and you'll be able to weigh them in down the scrap yard.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handle bars to the saddle.

I'm going to try this at the weekend if I can find my f-ing dremel-type-thing.D-Rider wrote:Obviously I was wrong .... the simplest way must involve a large number of superconducting magnets to create a contra-rotating field that if tuned to a precise frequency will release the bolt with a left-handed screwing action.

I'm right 98% of the time so why worry about the other 3%?
Just as an interesting aside .... well, possibly mildly interesting .... most of you know I work for a Japanese company and have a good number of Japanese friends.
I quite like the Japanese method of referring to the different types of screwdriver:
