That's what Pete has got.

Now stop talking about 54s until Monday.

I expect the greatest BHP will come from someone who has fitted an 04 onwards engine or a clarkie big bore ... or both

am sorry andy :(

re the bhp

it is a bit of a misnomer imho

currently i am kicking out around 127 or so BUT

most of my mods have recently been to the mid range - ie useable power

any muppet can go fast in a straight line - look at hayabusa sales! but, our bikes are, in my opinion, about ragging the arse off them in the twisties - i can have as much fun thrashing around the B roads at no more than 60 than i could at 100 plus on an A road. Thing is, it goes in quickly, and boy does it accelerate out - that V twin lump is awesome - the 54 bodies just give you more ooooommmmph

when i do the PC3 map i may well set it for mid range rather than top end....

(I believe the highest BHP i have heard of is 129 btw - from a standard lump)

I know it's got nothing to do with BHP but i've got to tell you lot i've just brought a set of GOLD oz wheels from a 2001 rsvr to go on my bike and paid less then £400 for them , i still can't believe it so am waiting for report from my mate when they arrive at my house ....

Seen them on ebay about a week ago and they never sold so dropped him a line today and bugger me he said yes to the price .... :smt005

The only problem i have now is i'm stuck down here in Brazil working till the 24th ( it's pissing down before you lot get upset ) so it's the 25th before i can get home and fit them :smt013 Plus i'm meant to be going to Glastonbury Festival :smt033 :smt078 :smt023 as well for that weekend so won't be able to get my hands on them properly till after the 27th ....

That should help lighten the load a bit and help the bike move ??

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

What mods have you done to your bike Aladinsaneuk engine wise as 127 bhp is plenty i think, like you say anyone can use more in a straight line ........

127 BHP :smt044 :smt044 :smt044

Where is this super-optimistic dyno to which you have access :smt017

Excellent deal on the OZs BTW - hope they are real ones and not the Aprillia clones though.
My gold OZs will probably be up for sale soon .... but I'll be looking for a fair bit more than that for them.

well, i know what i was kicking out a year or so back - and that was pre renegade system - as in chip airkit and exhausts.....

then i was on 117 - chap who did the original dyno thinks i will get around 10 more with what has been changed/added etc

(personally we see what happens - it is more than i can handle anyway!)

Ive just spent the last hour trying to find out what the old ARS admin's (Mental trev/tREVVA!) Falco used to kick out. Im sure I remember a figure of about 125-129 but a. cant find a dyno and b. cant find reference to it.

127 Sounds about right for a fully fettled non-big bored Renegade Falco

Anyway, hows the collections department?

Oh and is THIS the bigbore kit?
Dynos dont look very impressive..

No what you mean D-rider but until my mate checks them tomorrow won't know for sure ....fingers crossed they're old enough to be the real thing but like you said not 100% myself .......if not then it doesn't really matter either way as they'll look better then the orginal wheels already on there .........

As for the BHP as i'm not using a power commander ....and this may be a silly question to the people that know ......can i still get mine tuned or tweaked with out one ?? :smt017

Welcome to the wonderful world of chips and frustration.

Take one set of exhausts, add a airfilter mod and throw in a chip or 6 until you find one that provides you with the most horses for your setup.

Then start playing with can design, collectors, headers, linkpipes, low levels, hilevels, fishmounts, 2 cans, 1 can, throttlebodies, air ducting and dynocharts.

Big bores, blueprinting and superchargers (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiTp2miUJJI ) follow shortly after this.*

(Powercommanders are for people with no sense of mechanical adventure)

*All of which can be obtained for the Falco or Mille

To be honest if mines putting out more then 120 - 125 bhp then i'll be happy enough ............well your never happy enough but think that's enough for road riding these days anywhere ......am slowly coming to accept that it's not about top end but all about corners ........I can stay with most things on the road in the twisties but get's annoying when the straights come up and they pull away ...

Have to keep telling myself " family ........i'm over 40 ...........family ......i'm over 40 ".....my god i'm sounding old. :smt005

Hoping that the rene exhaust ,airbox and chip is going to be about as good as it gets as they're all made for each other ........fingers crossed !!
